i’ve got the blues…

…the omg-i-need-that-dress-but-i-bet-it’s-worth-$50K-and-where-would-i-wear-anything-that-formal-anyway blues.  Recently I’ve seen two blue dresses that I LOVE!  The color is amazing - vibrant and rich, and the women wearing them look fabulous.

Model/actress, Eva Marcille wore a blue gown to the 40th Annual NAACP Awards a week or so ago.

‘Slum Dog Millionare’ actress, Freida Pinto,  wore a similarly colored blue gown to the Oscars. (By the way - SO glad the film won for Best Film)

 The color is just too stunning to ignore, so I went on a hunt to find some beautiful blue choices for the {budget}fab* girls.  I don’t know about you, but I won’t be going to any events that require formal attire anytime soon, so I let the color inspire some everyday clothing choices.  Here’s what I found…

Love the draping on the blue dress from Forever 21 (Krystal Draped Dress, $19.80).  And I think the rosette detailing on the second dress from Nordstrom is just adorable (As U Wish Rosette Bubble Dress, $26.90) Both are great choices for a night on the town with the girls or the boo.

Don’t be afraid to throw some blue into a work outfit.  This blue looks great with charcoal and watermelon pink!
