30 easy ways to save money

I ran across this article today listing 30 easy ways to save money. I thought it would be a good idea to direct our {budget}fab readers to this post by our friends at Dumb Little Man Tips for Life. All of the tips listed are quite practical and you have probably read some here on our site. I have few favorites that I wanted to highlight:
#8 Buy generic products whenever possible: This goes for food, prescription drugs and I guess whatever else you feel comfortable buying generic. I will be the first to admit that the Harris Teeter Coke tastes just as delightful as Coca-Cola and costs about half the price.
#13 Avoid ATM fees: I had to slap myself on the wrist when I read this one. Since I bank with a credit union, it is often difficult for me to find an ATM that does not charge a fee. Those $2 to $3 add up quickly so I recommend taking an allowance out for yourself each time you get paid. This way you can avoid having to take out cash from the ATM and you can better monitor your spending.
#16 Instead of buying books, borrow from the library: I did this my last semester of college and saved soooo much money! Signing up for a library subscription is free, buying books from Barnes and Nobles is not. Point made.
Take a look at the article and tell me what you think. Do you practice these tips regularly? Do you have any additional tips on how you can pinch those pennies? Let us know in the comment section below!

YES! Going to the library is the greatest thing ever. My library book store sells magazines for less than $1, that’s better than a subscription.
1.Brining your lunch to work during the week and treating yourself on Fridays.
2.Getting to the club/party/lounge before 11
3. Going to the VS Semi-Annual sale as late as possible and getting panties for 50% off the sale price (love it!)
4. Going to beauty schools to get manis and pedis or being great and doing your nails yourself
5. Always unplug your cell phone, laptop, or other electronics’ chargers (saves you a ton on your bills, oh and enegry saving light bulbs; those are great)
