I am not a do-it-yourself expert, but I’m down to give pretty much anything a try on my own if its means I can save some dough!
So, I was watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 (yes - I watch every once in a while) the other day and it was an episode about being green. They talked about recycling, cooking organic AND making your own cleaning products. Then, today, I stumpled upon an article on business and finance site, Mainstreet, about easy DIY cleaning products. Coincidence? I think not. Now the challenge is on! I’m going to give homemade cleaning supplies a try! The article has instructions for making your own laundry detergent, but I’m going to start slow… I think I can handle the cleaner below.
Glass Cleaner
Combine eight parts of water with 1 part of white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray on windows or mirrors and wipe off with newspaper.
I’ll have to let you all know how it goes…

Let me know how that glass cleaner works…I’ve never tried to make my own cleaning products, but I’ve heard some great things so I just may give it a shot.
