refurbished

I was talking to my friend the other day about wanting to purchase a new laptop because mine is pretty much done. She gave me a great idea. You see I was thinking about the investment as a whole and whether or not I was ready to bite that financial bullet when she said…”why don’t you get a refurbished MAC.”
Such practical words! I’m glad I hang out with the smart people. After doing some research on Amazon.com as well as Craigslist I found a number of Macs that were in good to excellent condition for a fraction of their normal cost. Many of them were refurbished and in great working condition. So, I plan on swirling this idea around my head for a bit, but I think this is something everyone should consider. Before purchasing a new electronic, try to find a refurbished equivalent that meets your needs. Hey, it’s worth a shot and it’s a great way to pinch those pennies!
Well, I’m off my soapbox for the day. Thanks @JazzOthecre8tive for the tip!

It’s a great way to save, but if you can’t get the Apple Care plan then I might not go that route, because fixes down the road might wind up making the cost the same! I’ve had my logicboard replaced twice now on my iMac, and I couldn’t have possibly paid for it, but thanks to the full coverage plan (which goes for three years) I didn’t have to pay a dime.
