twinkie sushi

While checking out the fabulous Shecky’s, I ran across an interesting concept…twinkie sushi. Now, you’re probably turning up your nose immediately and I’ll admit I did too. But apparently twinkie sushi is a hit with most people. And being the sushi lover that I am, why wouldn’t I want to try dessert sushi? This recipe could be used during a sushi night at a supper society aka supper club or for a party that you’re hosting. It’s a great conversation starter. They’re so colorful and cute if they don’t taste all that good, they certainly look the part.

Twinkie sushi was created for Hostess by Clare Crespo who also has a website called Yummy Fun with all kinds of interesting recipes as well as two books, The Secret Life of Food and Hey There, Cupcake! (which is filled with cupcake recipes, can you say DELISH?!)

This is an interesting concept…I’m definitely going to pass this idea/thought along to my supper society and if we try it, I will report back with feedback. Have any of you tried twinkie sushi before?

hmmm…I just may have to do that if we have an Asian night or something. Even though Twinkies are American, sushi isn’t.
