I have always loved accessories but recently I’ve been seeing what I’d call statement necklaces everywhere and it’s driving me to a necklace fetish! These bold necklaces are perfect because they can take an otherwise plain outfit to fabulous in less than 30 seconds.

The bib necklace is one of the most popular statement necklaces I’ve seen. It’s called a bib necklace because of the layered long or clustered look it provides in the front, like a bib that a child would wear. These necklaces started appearing on fashion runways for spring and summer shows this year. And it didn’t take long for this fabulous trend to make its way onto celebrity necks. 

Statement necklaces can be found at a variety of price points and can add some serious flare to any outfit. My only tip for wearing these pieces is to keep it simple. These pieces make a statement on their own so incorporate them with solids or plain looks so you don’t over do it. You want your necklace to compliment not compete with your outfit.
