After all the work on the wedding we helped plan (I know… we keep talking about it… just waiting on pics from the photographers to share with you) I still have event planning on the brain, so I thought I’d share some tips for making your event fab*. And, I figured the ‘a to z’ thing would be fun! So, lets start at the beginning…

Floral arrangements aren’t appropriate for all types of events, but if you’re planning an event that could use some flowers there are definitely some budget-friendly options. If you’re a do-it-yourselfer:
- Check out your area grocer or contact a wholesale distributor to snag flowers you can arrange yourself
- For reasonably priced vases visit places like Homegoods, Michaels, Ikea and even Dollar Tree
- You will have to prepare your arrangements fairly last minute since flowers are perishable, but be sure to do a test run (or two) of your arrangement idea before the big day
- If you’re a first timer, be sure to do a little research to ensure you have everything you need. Check out this blog post for fun tips.
If DIY isn’t really your thing, be diligent about researching your professional florist options to make sure you’re getting the best price. Also, don’t be afraid try and negotiate on price.
