dc bites: ben’s next door

Sunday I had the pleasure of dining at Ben’s Next Door (right next door to the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl) in DC for brunch. To all my locals, it’s a must and if you’re out of town, the next time you come, it’s a must. The entrées we had included the shrimp & white grits, Belgian waffle, and fried chicken & waffle. The prices are definitely {budget}fab* with dishes ranging from $9-$16. The ambiance was extremely lively as we went when the Redskins/Cowboys game was on. If you don’t mind a lively bunch, a football Sunday is a great day to check this spot out.

They offer bottomless mimosas for $15 and their homemade bloody mary for $9. The décor was nice, and definitely different that one would expect from the outside.
