dc bites: ben’s next door

Sunday I had the pleasure of dining at Ben’s Next Door (right next door to the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl) in DC for brunch. To all my locals, it’s a must and if you’re out of town, the next time you come, it’s a must. The entrées we had included the shrimp & white grits, Belgian waffle, and fried chicken & waffle. The prices are definitely {budget}fab* with dishes ranging from $9-$16. The ambiance was extremely lively as we went when the Redskins/Cowboys game was on. If you don’t mind a lively bunch, a football Sunday is a great day to check this spot out.

They offer bottomless mimosas for $15 and their homemade bloody mary for $9. The décor was nice, and definitely different that one would expect from the outside. To check out their entire menu and additional photos, check out their website. Once you’re done eating all the leftovers from Thanksgiving or if you just get tired of eating them, be sure to head to Ben’s Next Door for great food, plenty of laughs and a chill atmosphere.
