Last Friday, Christian Siriano was featured on Oprah to discuss his time on Project Runway, his fierce style, and display a first look at his Spring collection. It was “ferosh” indeed. We were fortunate enough to receive a copy of Siriano’s first book titled Fierce Style. It incorporates fabulous advice and celebrity tips into a quick and fun read for the everyday gal.

Fierce Style discusses how to look within yourself to create your own personal style. Siriano outlines the “DOs” and “DON’Ts” of fashion, ways to find your personal style, where to shop, and more.

Siriano’s 10 Things NOT to Wear if You Want to be Fabulous had me laughing and frowning at the same time. I think that some of the items on the list don’t deserve such a bad rep, it’s a few abusers who kill it for all of us. But overall, I agree with his list.

The DOs and DON’Ts were all DOs in my book. Siriano also lists briefly what types of clothing look best on each basic body type. It’s always fun to listen see what advice is given in these circumstances and it also makes for interesting tidbits to store away the next time you go shopping.

Speaking of shopping, there’s great information on what to buy from your everyday stores in the mall. Think Forever 21, The Limited, Gap, etc. And there are lists, lists, and more lists which make this book both an easy and practical read.

Celebrity style assessments help to determine who’s personal style is most like your own as well as what to focus on to model your style after a celebrity.

There’s also practical advice for accomplishing goals and inspiration for striving towards them. Overall, I’d say this is a funny and fabulous book that’s a must for fans of Christian Siriano. This is also a buy if you’d like information on how to develop your own personal style or brand. By the time you put this book down, you’ll have practical tips to develop your own style, a new found vocabulary, and be prepared to take life head on like the fierce lady you are!
