fab* find: stretch turtleneck

I absolutely adore my stretch turtleneck from H&M…it was love at first wear. I know when you see turtleneck in your mind you think, “What in the world?!” But seriously…these aren’t the turtlenecks you wore in elementary school under your sweaters. These close-fit, stretch turtlenecks are made from cotton and are extremely versatile.
- You can pair them up with a pair of jeans, flats or flat boots, and a long necklace for a day of shopping.
- A blazer and/or a skirt with knee boots or pumps for work.
- Skinny jeans, knee boots or cute pumps, and bold jewelry for a casual date or night out.
The possibilities are endless! And at $12.95, this is definitely a piece you’ll want to add to your wardrobe in a few staple colors.
A few things to keep in mind…all turtlenecks aren’t created equal so if it looks crazy and reminds you of elementary school, don’t get it. Make sure it has enough stretch in it so it doesn’t loose the close fit after a few washes (washing in cold water and hang drying will help). Decide whether or not you want to roll it down…I am not a fan of the roll down (again, that elementary thing) but I’ve seen it look great on some people. I scrunch mine and throughout the course of the day it creates its own natural fold. One last tip, make sure it’s not too thin, I’ve seen some that are made of the “tissue” cotton which is great for a certain look, but these are not the “love at first wear” turtlenecks.
