holiday fun with friends

This holiday season, why not host a fab* holiday party for some of your closest friends. It’s a great way to get together to socialize, play games, mingle, introduce, eat, drink…I could go on all day. In order to keep the event {budget}fab* you could have your friends bring food/beverage items and their favorite games and/or CDs.
One of my favorite places to get recipes from is Food Network which contains recipes from their chefs along with others and allows readers to review the recipes and provide ratings and feedback. I typically chose recipes with at least 4 stars just to be on the safe side. Check out these delicious holiday recipes that are quick and easy, so if you can read…you can cook!
Paula Deen’s Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle, I can’t stop looking at the picture, yummy!
The Pear and Blue Cheese Salad recipe looks interesting and it’s easy, so worth a shot.
Paula Deen’s Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars with Streusel Topping is yet another delicious dessert that seems to be a hit (In case you can’t tell, I’m a huge Paula Deen fan).
There are thousands of recipes to choose from and you can even select “easy” recipes if that’s all your comfortable with.
Have your friends bring their favorite CDs or mix CDs of their own in order to provide music for your party.
Favorite games will ensure that the party has some fun going on, these are especially useful when bringing together friends from different circles or who don’t know one another.
A great way to remember the event is to have friends bring their digital cameras to snap pictures during the event. They can then email the pictures later using a free service like Kodak Gallery and they can then be shared with all the guests who attended. Each guest can purchase pictures and other photo items.
What other {budget}fab* ideas have you heard of for hosting a holiday gathering?
