If you happen to live in the DC Metropolitan area you already know that EVERYONE is in a tiffy about this weekend’s approaching inclement weather. It looks like the weather man is calling for 18 to 24 inches of snow so most people will be stuck inside wondering what to do.

Well, I did a little research myself and found a great list of 25 things to do on a snow day compiled by our friends at Squidoo.com. The list is catered toward children, but as an adult I found myself excited about taking part in the majority of these activities this weekend. Here are the three that topped my list:

Plan a meal you haven’t tried before - research some recipes and go for it! Be sure to plan your trip to the grocery store prior to the inclement weather.
Have an in-home spa day - you can do a great mani/pedi on yourself and this is a great way to relax.
Tell scary stories to your family - make the room extra spooky by turning off all lights, closing all blinds, lighting candles and using flashlights. YIKES!!
